McAllister revealed that he has been taking steps to help Liverpool's young players develop after Liverpool beat Tottenham Hotspur to win the League Cup.

The World Cup winner also spoke in detail about the performance of the next generation of players in training and the steps he is taking to help them improve.

He said: "This is really important for the young players. They show their determination to stay here every day in training. They train very, very hard and are very talented. I'm happy to see that their performance in training deserves this reward."
