According to Le Monde, Cubas said he doesn't care about money or fame, he just wants to play the football he loves.

Cubasi was a unique player. He shattered many preconceived notions within the elite football world, such as wearing designer brands, driving luxury cars, or being covered in tattoos. Cubasi was down-to-earth, came from a small town, and had close relationships with family and friends.
On the sporting front, Cubasi is a defender who developed under La Masia. He gradually mastered the knowledge imparted by Barcelona and all the principles required to integrate into the first team, and has now become an indispensable member of the team, as well as one of the best defenders in world football today. This will also earn him the Kopa Trophy. His performance at the World Cup was impeccable, and he was one of the key contributors to Barcelona's league title win.
The improvement in his competitive level doesn't seem to have changed Cubasi's outlook on life. The Barcelona and Spanish national team defender grew up in the small town of Estanieor in the province of Girona and has always maintained close ties with his family and his hometown. Cubasi says he feels more comfortable away from the crowds of big cities. In an interview with El Mundo a year ago, Cubasi said, "People say I'm from a small town, and I don't mind at all. I'm better off in a small town than in a city."
Cubasi's family environment played a decisive role in shaping his character. His family had been in the carpentry business for generations, and Cubasi recalls spending many summers with his father in the shop as a child; now, the shop is run by his uncle. This experience instilled in him from a young age the effort required to support a family. Cubasi said, "When you see your parents working hard to provide for their family, when you see how much they sacrifice for their children, these become your role models."
This experience helped Cubas cope with the attention that comes with early fame. He said, "Don't lose your humility, stay grounded, be a good person, and always be with people who truly care about you." Cubas' mother is still keeping an eye on him, and he joked, "Maybe I'll get a flick on the forehead from my mom again."
Money doesn't seem to be an obsession for this Barcelona center-back. Despite his football career providing him with ample financial resources at his age, Cubasi stated that his primary goal remains football. He said, "I don't care too much about money. I just want to play the football I love, nothing more. I don't think about money, fame, or anything else that football brings."
Kubasi also said, "I don't want to buy a high-horsepower car right now; that's out of place. In a few years, once my mom gives her approval, I'll buy myself a nice car."
Kubasi said he only truly realized he was in a completely new reality when people started asking him for photos on the street. However, he also admitted that he feels more relaxed with friends. He said, "I'm more fun with friends, with people I trust."
