According to AS, La Liga president Javier Tebas said in Madrid that he believes Rodri deserves the Ballon d'Or and criticized Gianni Infantino for continuing in his position as a disgrace.
Speaking about the future of sports, Tevas said: "Artificial intelligence will change everything. People will have more time for entertainment. Football and concerts will be the only truly memorable activities. People will also spend more time on health."
When asked who deserves the Ballon d'Or, Tebas said, "Rodri. It's difficult, but considering his performance at the World Cup, he deserves it."
When asked about Barcelona's support for Yamar in the Ballon d'Or race, Tebas said, "You'd have to ask Barcelona. Everyone has their own opinion, and as for mine, it's Rodri."
He added, "Everyone is doing their best in the campaign, and everyone is doing what they think is right. Yamal knows how he's performing, and he can say he's the best player. I think Rodri is the best. Everyone can assess their own level."

When discussing Real Madrid TV's criticism of the referee, Tebas said: "It's a desperate attempt to play the victim. They're not just complaining about their own situation, but about everyone's. They're wrong. It's all someone else's fault, never their own... I can explain why Real Madrid got fewer points, but I won't... Real Madrid could have won the league title without these victimhood rhetoric."
Tebas also criticized FIFA's current president, Gianni Infantino: "It would be a disgrace if Infantino stayed on. It would be better for football if the US team beat Belgium, because I'm sure Infantino won't continue after the Spanish disaster. Many football associations rely on FIFA's funding, otherwise they will lose it."
He continued, "There's still time. A candidate must emerge by November 18th. If I see someone chosen, I will withdraw my vote."
When asked about the venue for the Champions League final, Tebas said, "Real Madrid didn't apply because they don't have a good relationship with UEFA. I expect them to apply soon, almost certainly."
When discussing the competition between Spain and Morocco to host the 2030 World Cup final, Tebas stated, "I support hosting the final at the Bernabéu Stadium. But if the final is held in Spain, Infantino cannot remain in office. When FIFA member Fúzi Lehgá from Morocco so boldly stated that the final should be hosted by Morocco, it shows that this was not his own idea."
He concluded, "Don't be naive. Nobody said he would leave, and he's still a member of the FIFA Executive Committee. This is another setback for FIFA's governance. As long as Infantino is still in charge, it will be extremely difficult to hold the final in Spain. From a reputation and prestige standpoint, as the leading host country for the World Cup, Spain should have the right to host the final.
